This Marugo for Aganjú takes approximately 24 hours of labor to make. It is beaded and not glued to provide it additional strength. The sound of the Marugo is not muffled by the beadwork and has a heavy metallic resonance. This particular example is made with a combination of volcanic rock beads, glass beads, cowrie shells and Turquoise beads. However, the highlight beads can be also Tiger Eye, Jasper, Aventurine, Mother of Pearl and others depending on your budget and preference.
